We’ve all experienced it. No one likes having trouble figuring out what to wear, especially for a photo shoot! With some of my favorite boudoir photography outfit ideas, here are some ways you can get creative on what to wear for a boudoir photo shoot.
Play dress up with a robe
Sometimes the best thing to spice up a sexy lingerie set is a fancy robe. No, I’m not talking about one of those his and hers cotton robes you accidentally yanked during your last hotel stay. I mean the robes that are so elegant they almost look like an evening gown!
When I worked with the lovely Andrea (a.k.a. Greta Grenadine), she had what seemed like an endless wardrobe of totally awesome outfits to choose from. I absolutely loved her suggestion of using this gorgeous flowing black and white number. I think it made for the perfect shot!
So, next time you’re looking for an extra little splash of sexy for your boudoir photoshoot, try to remember the robe that’s been buried in your closet all these years. Or better yet, head out and find something perfect for the occasion. Even a tiny satin robe can make all the difference!
Reuse that wedding veil
Okay. I know some of you have envisioned your daughter one day wearing your wedding dress for her own big day. How likely that is to happen remains to be seen. So, why not get a little more life out of your wedding gown while you can! A great way to add some sentimental notes to your boudoir photos is by getting creative with that wedding veil.
Ashley made her boudoir wedding photos extra special by adding to the theme of the session.
Borrow your honey’s sports jersey
If some or all of your photos are a gift for hubby, try sporting one of his favorite team’s jerseys. Sometimes, the quickest way to his heart is through his love for sports. Here’s one way to give him the best of both worlds and make it a photo he’ll never forget!
Even on a losing day for his team, you’ll still be number one in his heart!
Cover up with a sweater
Yep! You read that right. Snuggle up during your boudoir shoot with a nice warm sweater! Boudoir photography isn’t necessarily about showing some skin. It’s about knowing you look beautiful no matter what you wear. My girl, Mikayla knew exactly what to do with this off the shoulder sweater she brought to her session. She totally rocked it!
